When trying to use Invoke-VMShutdown, I keep getting the following error. Am I not using this function correctly? Syntax error? I'm able to successfully use 'start-vm' and 'stop-vm', but I need a graceful way of shutting down the guest VM's.

PS C:\Users\Administrator> Invoke-VMShutdown guest-01

Figured this out.  Needed to install the Linux Integration services on the guest.

This did not (does not) appear to be my issue. I get the exact same error AFTER I upgraded my integration services on an older XP VM guest (and possibly on a 2008 R2 Guest as well). Prior to my upgrading the Integration Services, the invoke-vmshutdown worked fine. I will restart VMM service on the VM Host and see if that makes a difference.

c:> invoke-vmshutdown prodbox -force
invoke-vmshutdown : Could not begin Shutdown of prodbox

Granted, the XP integration services appears to be a different version?
YOU WANT A FEATURE REQUEST: SHOW INTEGRATION SERVICES VERSION AS A COLUMN IN THE VM MANAGER DISPLAY!!!! How SIMPLE would THAT make our lives?
