get-vmhost not displaying all Hyper-V hosts

Nov 2, 2011 at 4:26 PM

When using the command: "Get-vmhost" I get a list of 7 machines with Hyper-V installed.

The problem is that the domain contains 10+ hyper-V hosts. They are all Windows server 2008 (R2) servers. There is no selective difference between 2008 R2 or just the "old" 2008 in the current output.
How can i troubleshoot this problem?

I seem to be having the same issue as well. I have double checked that the install of the hyper-v module, .NET has been installed, and powershell 2.0 is successfully installed.
The post above is from a few year ago but if there is any information on where the cmdlet gets this list or any guild as to why some hyper-v hosts show and some don't then it would be greatly appreciated.
thank you
