Installation fails in Windows 2012

I have not being able to use or install the Hyper-V objects in Windows 2012. Could some developer create an installer (MSI) that would work?

Hi philip_38,

To fix this simply open up menu.ps1 with a suitable editor and edit line 276 and line 1141 (at least this is the line numbering using Notepad+). The problem sections are as follows:

1) 20   {  $SelectedVHD = (Select-List -InputObject $vhd -Property ,@{Name="Name"; expression={$_.Name -replace ($folder+"\").replace("\","\\"),""}}).name     }

2) 20   {  $SelectedVHD = (Select-List -InputObject $vhd -Property ,@{Name="Name"; expression={$_.Name -replace ($folder+"\").replace("\","\\"),""}}).name     }

For both just remove the comma's next to the @ symbol and save. Then try installing again and importing the Hyper-V module. It should all work sweetly now! :)

Hope this help!

P.S Make a backup of your original menu.ps1 file...

in 2012 you can add this from powershell, it is already integrated in system.

Install-WindowsFeature -Name Hyper-V-PowerShell
